Psychotherapy
Each
person is unique and experiences life’s challenges in his
or her own way. Even the strongest among us can be overwhelmed
by trauma or repeated losses and disappointments. The coping methods
that worked for us in the past may no longer be enough. We know
we’ve reached our limit when we start to feel depressed
or anxious about everyday frustrations. When we’re in pain,
it’s natural to call for help. At these moments, psychotherapy
can be vitally useful in constructing meaning, facilitating change,
and lifting the blocks to success.
In
my view, our ability to build and sustain a working alliance is
as significant as your presenting concerns. As we embark on a
collaborative journey, we will explore your particular situation
and our ability to work together as a team. I will also offer
recommendations for the best course of treatment. Our work will
take place in a warm, supportive environment in which you can
be heard, gain insight, grow, and learn how to navigate hurdles
effectively.
